Accessibility

Last updated 19 July 2026. Scary letters land on everyone's doormat, so this site has to work for everyone. This page explains what we do to make that true, and what to do if something gets in your way.

What we aim for

We build the site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is a target we design and test against, not a certificate: if you find a place where we fall short, we want to know.

What that means in practice

• Text is kept large enough to read comfortably, and text and background colours are chosen for strong contrast.
• Every page works with a keyboard alone: you can reach every link, button and form field with Tab, and see where you are.
• Pages use proper headings, labels and landmarks, so screen readers can announce what everything is.
• Buttons and links are sized for touch, and the site works on a phone as well as a desktop.
• Forms explain their errors in plain words next to the field that needs attention.
• Nothing on the site flashes, autoplays or moves in a way you cannot stop.

Known limits

The free letter scan needs a photo of your letter. If taking or uploading a photo is difficult for you, skip the scan: you can start your case without it by choosing your letter type from a list, or contact us and we will help you get set up.

Tell us. Email enquiries@nastyletters.co.uk and describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We treat accessibility problems as faults to fix, not feedback to file.
